INL is a research and design company (is considered SMEs; personnel: 241, including 164 persons involved in the research activity) with large experience in the field of wood harvesting, exploitation and processing. Having a well establish experience of about 70 years, INL are able to perform high level research and design activity such as:
RESEARCH ACTIVITY:
- Implementation of new wood products, wood based boards, wood composites by various end uses (furniture, buildings), new finishing techniques and improvements;
- Development and improvement of technologies for logging and processing of wood;
- New technical solutions for wood preservation and quality improvement of wood and wood products;
- Testing and homologation of various materials used in wood industry (glues, adhesives, preservatives, finishing products etc.);
- Elaboration of standards and norms in the field of wood, wood products, equipment and specific installations;
- Informatics for wood technology and wood structure used in buildings;
- Participation at restoration of many important Historical Buildings from National Patrimony;
- International cooperation in FP-5, 6; COST, PHARE, EUREKA, NATO.
DESIGN ACTIVITY:
- Studies: pre-feasibility, feasibility, bank loaning, SWOT analyses, splitting and winding up of companies, comparative offer for process equipment, energy efficiency;
- Business plan: investments financed by redeemable local and foreign credits, investments by unredeemable finances;
- Marketing: marketing environment analyses, marketing surveys, marketing policies and management;
- Documentation: real estate register, environment permits, agreements, operating authorization, building approvals;
- Assessments: assets (trading companies, production areas) houses, equipment and machinery;
- Investment technical data: for participation improving, development, updating of sawmills, furniture door-window factories, plywood-particleboard, fiber board and MDF plants, prefab wood houses, construction of forest roads;
- Technical assistance: applications for information based management of furniture factories (CAD, ERP), supervision of works and acceptance.
MICROPRODUCTION:
- Production of small furniture and furniture components, doors and windows, chemical products for wood protection and finishing.
